Introduction to The Online Course

How to Take This Online Course:

Firstly, thank you so so much for coming here to participate in this wonderful journey.

I would like to give a few words about how I would recommend you approach this course in a way that you can gain the most value.

Just like I never showed up in school, listened to the teacher once and got an A*, you will not be able to excel to the fullest extent that this information will allow you to without some work on your end. Watching the videos isn’t enough! I try to provide you information in the most articulate way I possibly can.

So: I would recommend you watch one section at a time only. After each section: Go to the workshop, light the fire and practice the techniques and projects shown until you feel comfortable.

Your mind can only absorb so much information at a time, so it is key you don’t overload it with information without the necessary practice required to make the lessons unforgettable. Muscle memory and instinctual reactions to the metal take doing to develop. I can assure you however, you have made the right decision for shortening the inevitable learning curve by taking part in this course.

At the end of each lecture: if you didn’t quite understand something, ASK in the comments or better, in the facebook group!

Once you have forged your project: upload it and Joe will be happy to try and give you any pointers Ihe

Remember, if there is anything we can do to help: just ask.

Happy forging!

Yours sincerely,

Alec Steele and Joey Van der Steeg
